Our teacher mentoring programmes are tailored to the unique needs of each school and individual teacher.

Up & Under Sports specialises in providing high-quality support that empowers staff to deliver outstanding PE lessons with confidence. By working collaboratively, our experienced coaches guide teachers in developing their subject knowledge, teaching skills, and understanding of how to plan and deliver dynamic, engaging, and progressive PE sessions.
Our specialist team delivers coaching across all age groups, with every session carefully differentiated to meet the developmental needs of each child. We are experienced in supporting children with special educational needs and work closely with schools to ensure every pupil is given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
In addition, we work alongside PE leads to support curriculum mapping, helping schools create a broad, balanced, and engaging PE provision across all year groups.
The Me, U & US Pupil Mentoring Programme uses sport, movement, and trusted relationships to support young people’s personal growth and educational journey.

Through early intervention and targeted mentoring, we help pupils develop physically, emotionally, and socially – giving them the tools they need to thrive both in and out of school.
Our sessions are designed to build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of belonging. Delivered one-to-one or in small groups, each session combines practical activities with reflection and open conversation, creating a safe and supportive environment for every pupil.
At Up & Under Sports, we are passionate about helping young people lead active, healthy lives. With clear links between physical activity and positive mental health, Me, U & US is designed to make a lasting difference to pupils’ wellbeing.
The Impact Project is designed for upper Key Stage 2 pupils, supporting children as they navigate the challenges of growing up in an ever-changing world.

Developed in response to the increasing need for focused mental health support, this programme helps pupils build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self.
It encourages children to embrace their individuality, manage self-doubt, and develop positive relationships.
Through engaging sessions, pupils explore key themes such as growth mindset, resilience, and gratitude—equipping them with practical strategies to handle challenges, learn from mistakes, and maintain a positive outlook.
Each programme includes both weekly classroom sessions and practical sports activities. These physical sessions reinforce learning while supporting improved mood, reduced stress, and overall wellbeing.
Healthy Heroes is a health and wellbeing programme designed to equip children with the knowledge and understanding they need to lead healthy, positive, and active lifestyles.

The programme can be adapted for pupils from Upper Key Stage 1 through to Year 4. Delivered over a six-week term, it includes two hours of curriculum time each week—one hour classroom-based and one hour of practical PE.
Developed in response to growing social and health concerns, Healthy Heroes aims to support young people in both their physical and mental wellbeing. With childhood obesity rates rising and increasing levels of screen time impacting children’s lifestyles, the programme helps pupils understand the importance of balance, covering key topics such as diet, sugar intake, mental wellbeing, screen time, and peer pressure.
Through engaging and interactive sessions, children are encouraged to explore realistic and achievable strategies to improve their health and wellbeing. The practical PE element complements classroom learning by introducing a wide range of activities that highlight the enjoyment, confidence, and positivity that come from being active.
Healthy Heroes also offers strong cross-curricular links to Science, PSHE, and Design & Technology. The classroom content includes 12 adaptable lesson themes, allowing schools to tailor delivery to meet the specific needs of each class. Topics include screen time, mental health, balanced diets, and positivity, enabling a truly bespoke approach to delivery.
At Up & Under Sports, we are passionate about improving the physical and mental health of young people across the South West. We believe that by educating children on how to care for both body and mind, we can help create healthier, more active, and more positive communities.
